Wild Deer Events are delighted to announce that we will be returning to the iconic Bamburgh Castle in 2025 with our popular Sprint and Standard Duathlons.

Event overview

There will be a Sprint (Short) event and a Standard event. The Sprint (Short) is perfect for novices and there is also the option to do the event as a relay with your friends. Sprint (Short) Duathlon - 5km / 20+km / 2.5km. Standard Duathlon - 10km / 40+km / 5km. The running will be on paths and trails around the Castle grounds and the cycling will be on the open roads of the outstanding Northumberland coastline. The event is for all fitness levels, any type of push bike can be used. The event is on open roads so the highway code must be adhered to and a cycling hat must be worn. There will be Live Chip-Timing through Timing Up North. All finishers will get an Event Medal, Wild Deer Merchandise, a snack and a drink. There is also the option to buy an event T-shirt for £12 when you sign up. There is free parking for all participants.
