Event overview

The AJ Bell Junior and Mini Great Bristol Run sees mini runners (aged 3-8) take on a 1.5km dash, while Junior runners (aged 9-15) tackle a supercharged 2.5km sprint ahead of the Great Bristol Run on Sunday.

Expect a fun city centre route starting and finishing at College Green, photo opportunities, local spectators and lots of family fun. Whether it’s racing, fundraising or being your best, discover your superpower at the Junior & Mini Great Bristol Run.

Mini entrants (3-8 yrs) must run with a parent, each child should be entered into the event. Junior entrants (9+) do not need to be accompanied by an adult although this can be requested upon entry if required, each child should be entered into the event.

A gorgeous event to be a part of for the whole family. Loved it all!

Lovely memories made by completing this event and running with my child, both of us enjoyed it.

Sustainability Policy

This event is in the process of updating its Sustainability Strategy in light of its collaborative approach and recent survey. Work to minimise the environmental impacts of this event will continue throughout this process, with particular focus on:

  • Reducing plastic
  • Reducing waste
  • Cutting carbon emissions
  • Responsible procurement

In addition, it is striving to improve performance even further by making sure that sustainability is embedded at the heart of the organisation and culture.

Trees not tees

Finisher tees are now optional. You can choose to forgo your finisher tee shirt at the point of entry, and in lieu of this the organiser will make a donation to the National Trust Woodlands Appeal.

The organisers will donate a portion of the fulfilment costs for each runner who chooses this option to the fund and commit that this donation to be a minimum of Β£20,000.
