Event overview

An event with a lot of history...

Following the iconic 'breakfast run' format, the Kingston Breakfest 8 Mile run returns early in the season, offering distances of 8 miles, 16 miles and 20 miles. The traditional Kingston 8.2-mile loop is a single lap crossing over Kingston and Hampton Court Bridge.

The timing of the event makes it ideal for those runners preparing for a spring marathon such as Brighton, Manchester or London.

The start and finish are both within the famous ancient marketplace, providing an exciting start and an atmospheric finish, with plenty of stalls offering a variety of foods, and many local restaurants and pubs for those looking for more leisurely post-race relaxation. Professionally organised, there are plenty of friendly and experienced marshals to guide you safely around the course.

Well organised event, great marshals along the way and it was lovely to run along the river towards Hampton Court. Loved the design of the medal and the goodie bag had a good selection of products. Serena

I just wanted to say a massive thank you for the Kingston Break-fest run on Sunday. I ran the 20 miler and I had the best time. It was such a well organised race with friendly volunteers and a really great atmosphere more widely. That kind of culture comes from the organisers ultimately and I just wanted to to say how grateful I am for all the hard work and energy that all of you have put into the event. Thanks so much! Nick

Great atmosphere, very friendly marshals and a well organised race. Liz C

Great event with a good crowd and atmosphere. Loved the start and finish in the marketplace, easy bib collection, quick results and plenty of photos available. Michelle W

Really enjoyed the event with a great course, excellent marshals and an outstanding goodie bag. A few intersections could have used more stewards. David R

Enjoyable race with lovely river sections and a great medal and t-shirt at the finish, but the course distance and communication could have been clearer. Juliette S

Really enjoyable overall with a great atmosphere and route, though some runners found the course slightly short on distance. Natalie S

Excellent event, well organised with a great goodie bag, flat course and very helpful pacers. Highly recommended. Adrian B
