This season Green Space Events have planned 3 events at Dodd Wood.
Dodd Wood is on the opposite side of Bassenthwaite lake to Whinlatter but still very close to Keswick. It’s still very hilly, slightly less technical and we offer a 3 or 5 mile canicross route. Our route at Dodd Wood is also not flat! We run on a mix of single trails and forest roads, with simply stunning views across Derwentwater and Bassenthwaite Lake. At Dodd we offer a 5 mile route (8K) with approximately 1000ft of ascent (330m) and also a 3 mile route (5k) with approximately 800ft (240m) of ascent. The terrain at Dodd is slightly easier than Whinlatter and generally the paths are wider so at Dodd we allow runners to run with two dogs if they wish.
