Lakeland Paws Dogs @ Dodd | 8K

Dodd Wood is on the opposite side of Bassenthwaite lake to Whinlatter but still very close to Keswick. It’s still very hilly, slightly less technical and we offer a 5 or 8K canicross route. Our route at Dodd Wood is also not flat! We run on a mix of single trails and forest roads, with simply stunning views across Derwentwater and Bassenthwaite Lake. At Dodd our 8K has 360m ascent and our 5k has approximately 240m of ascent. The terrain at Dodd is slightly easier than Whinlatter and generally the paths are wider so at Dodd we allow runners to run with two dogs if they wish. The 8k option is graded as Blue. The 5k option is graded as Blue.
