Welcoming runners of all ages and abilities, the Leeds Half delivers a vibrant, feel-good experience that celebrates community, determination and generosity. If you’re ready to make your miles matter, Leeds is the place to do it.

Fuel & hydration

300 ml bottled water is available on the course at 3 mile intervals and 500 ml will be available at the finish line. Competitors are advised to ensure that they consider the effects of dehydration and drink plenty of fluids to compensate. High 5 energy stations will also be available on course including High5 Zero tabs and energy gels. Gels will be available at mile 5 and tabs at mile 9. High5 Zero tabs are refreshing, great-tasting sugar-free hydration tablets that provide you with key electrolytes lost during exercise. High5 energy gels are a fruity burst of energy to power your muscles during exercise. Making it an ideal product to turn up the energy during your workout!

Pacers

The team of pacers, sponsored by Arla Protein, has been organised on behalf of the Chorlton Runners.

There will be friendly pacers on the course, sponsored by Arla Protein who can help you stick to your intended finish time. Theyโ€™ll have flags attached to them with finish times so you can choose the best pace to suit you. It should feel easy in the first half of your race and then step it up in the second leg when your race really starts. If you experiencelow spells, stay positive and keep moving forward, tough moments pass. Go on, you can do it!

The half marathon pacer times are from 1 hour 20 minutes to 2 hours 30 minutes at 5-minute intervals.

Amazing support from the general public and so much encouragement and support and so helpful and powerful. GM H

First time doing the half marathon, the biggest thing that stuck out was the crowd support, never seen support like it at a race! From villages handing out oranges, high fives, smiles and sweets to somebody putting on their own extra drink station. Was phenomenal, will be back next year! Matt C

Keeping Leeds Green

This event is committed to keeping Leeds green and understands the importance of doing its bit for the environment. Bins will be provided across the event site and people are urged to use the facilities provided.

It is important to leave the course the way we found it. Recycling bins will be provided on course at each water station and we ask that you use them. If you want to hand on to your water beyond the provided bins, please pass any litter to your nearest marshal.

Letโ€™s work together to Keep Leeds green and encourage other runners to do the same.
