Decided to run this race as part of my preparation for completing the full Paris marathon in April... Heading back towards Notre Dame and then along towards Bercy, along the rivers edge, was a great experience for anyone running in Paris for the first time. Water stations are plentiful as were the offerings of sugar, bananas and cake to keep you fuelled and the run through the park area, passing the zoo, was well signposted and marshalled. Support, along the way was plentiful with plenty of Paris Adidas runners supporting their local districts. Leon B

A great introduction to running Paris with this course being virtually half of the full marathon route. Amazing to run past the Bastille and around the River Seine near to Notre Dame. Cannot recommend highly enough if you are planning on running the full as this takes place in March with the big event a month later in April. BG

Upon arriving in Paris, we headed directly for the Expo to collect our race bibs and tee shirts. The Expo hall was conveniently situated across the road from a Metro station. Collection was quick and problem free with no queues... We then lined up in strictly controlled pens, appropriate to our finish times. It was a very windy day and we watched as the starting arch blew over! It didn’t delay proceedings significantly. We got talking to other UK runners in the pen and indeed throughout the race. The race itself didn’t pass very many significant Paris landmarks but it was a flat interesting course, nonetheless. Support throughout the race was very vocal and enthusiastic... At the finish line, we were presented with our medals and a nice souvenir sports bag containing drinks and goodies. It was a great event in one of Europe’s great cities and it’s one I’d happily run again. William A
