Beautiful scenery, rare wildlife and friendly runners - all of them unforgettable.
Distance runners return to Round the Rock year after year to enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and testing courses. These races are perfect for those looking to step up their distance or train for a longer event in a supportive environment.
This event is part of Round The Rock.
For your safety and to handle the technical and rocky coastal trails, especially if it rains, you will need trail shoes. Please get a pair in good time for the race and break them in.
Round the Rock Jersey is a tough challenge. Participants must have experience of having run trail races previously and must also have completed the chosen distance on road.
Trail running is different to road running. Be prepared to do more work mentally to find your way as not all twists and turns in a trail race are explicitly marked. Treat it as an adventure!
There are many health benefits to trail running: Building strength, speed, and having less impact on joints than running on concrete. It’s also a very easy way of burning calories whilst having fun! The mental health benefits of being out in nature cannot be overstated enough also, particularly here in Jersey with the plethora of beautiful trails.
Trail running can also be a stimulating, 3-dimensional experience. Watching out for the different surfaces, steep ups and downs, the scenery, the peace and quiet, all add to an experience that is both mentally and physically challenging.
Runners are not allowed their own crew or outside help at any point along the course, or to store supplies along the trail.

Jersey
Jersey is accessible from most major UK airports. The island is serviced by British Airways, Flybe and EasyJet and if booked well enough in advance flights can be very reasonable.
In terms of accommodation, most is centred in St Helier. There is a Premier Inn and many other hotels in the town.
The half marathon kicks off at The Watersplash in St. Ouens and guides runners on a memorable 13.1-mile journey. Prepare to be awed by panoramic views, meet an array of wildlife, and be part of a nurturing community of runners.
The route guides you along serene coastal paths, revealing the island’s captivating landscapes. The path meanders to the idyllic, sunlit sands of St. Ouen’s Bay, enriching your running experience.
As the race progresses, enjoy views of the scenic South Coast, capturing glimpses of St Brelaides and St Aubins before crossing the finish line. Embrace the thrilling challenge: the half marathon covers 13.1 miles, with splendid ascents and descents offering an exciting challenge for all runners.
Please anticipate course markers to be primarily positioned at decision points where the route changes. This might mean several miles without any markers due to a straight path or road with no turnings off. It’s the runners responsibility to keep an eye out for signage, be familiar with the course and have a GPS device with the course .gpx file to help you navigate.
The food supplied is intended to supplement, not replace, your personal provisions and includes water, soft drinks, crisps, energy bars and other solid foods.
8 hours.

Really well-organised and fun event. All the organisers and volunteers were brilliant on the day and just gave that extra bump of help and cheer to get round the course. Finlay C
It was a brilliant event. Beautiful to run. Pretty tough. I signed up for the following year immediately. Jonathan H
My first ultra marathon. I loved it! Absolutely incredible route but the support and organisation was top class! Ash L
This race was my longest ever ultramarathon and I had an absolute blast taking part! The coast of Jersey is stunning and the route is fun and technical in places. Emma C
