Event overview
We live on an island - everyone should ride across it at least once!
Journeying through the heart of the old Border Marches, via quiet lanes, cycle routes and gravel trails, the Frontier 300 takes you on a hidden route from Scotland to England.
Whether you choose the gravel/road route (All Road) or the new road route (Road Only), you will be far from busy roads and tourist honeypots. You will traverse the land as only a cyclist can - under your own steam, in the wild, with other adventurers at your side.
Choose to complete the event in a single day, or give yourself a little more time and complete it over two days.
At the end, you will find yourself a warm welcome with food and a fire by the beach, new friends you can exchange stories with, and true Scott Frontier hospitality!

Rider briefing
Rider Briefing is via email prior to the event. Any last minute updates will take place at registration. There will be no announcements in the morning in order to ensure a quiet start at this early hour out of respect for local residents.
Abilty level
Riders should be aware that this is a long event requiring a level of independent planning and a good degree of fitness. Due to the nature of the route, once riders start they are committing to long days in the saddle.
As a guide we would expect riders to be able to ride in the region of 15kph average in order to make the crossing on the Saturday. This allows some time for short stops at Feed Stations.

Route details
- Each rider will be given a route booklet with event information and maps of the course.
- The entire route is navigable via GPX. The course is not marked on the ground, except if a section needs to be diverted (at which point you will see the route marked with small yellow flags).
- As the route is long and unmarked, please ensure you carry the means to backup electrical devices with additional batteries/power.
- The full ride GPX is available 2-3 weeks before the start.
- Some GPX/mapping software will automatically re-route to ‘known trails/roads' depending on software settings. We advise that riders check the route against the original map before importing to a device.
- Riders must remain on the route at all times in case officials need to locate you.
