Each year thousands of swimmers, of all abilities, take on the BHF Pier to Pier Bournemouth and help beat heartbreak forever. Starting at the iconic Bournemouth pier, put your front crawl to the test in the English Channel as you make your way towards cheering crowds on Boscombe pier.
"This is the third year running that I've taken part in this swim and I will definitely be returning next year! The organisation of the event is always superb and its so much fun to take part in a challenge like this with so many other people - feeling not only as if I am doing something good for such a great charity but also getting fitter at the same time."
"I didn't know if I could swim 1.4 miles in a wetsuit in the sea and struggled for the first 10 minutes. After that I got into my stride and had a fantastic time. What a buzz! I had such a sense of satisfaction - supporting charity and getting fitter.... what could be better."
"A thoroughly enjoyable and well organised event, as a first timer, this won't be my last time."
Setting off from Bournemouth Pier, you'll swim 1.4 miles parallel to the shore as you make your way to the finish line at Boscombe Pier. Lifeguards will be present in the sea and along the shore at all times, and full First Aid cover will be provided by St. Johns Ambulance.
