Event overview
If you like beautiful races in beautiful places, like fun, like medals and like goodies then this event is for you.
Whether you want to run one day, all four or anywhere in between this is a beautiful route. The 6.6 mile loop takes you around both Fewston and Swinstey reservoirs. In previous years the copper colours of the turning leaves and the stillness of the mainly off-road route has been an ideal setting.
You'll enjoy a bespoke medal and lots of goodies at the finish line.

This event is part of the It's Grim Up North calendar of runs, offering a range of distances and levels of difficulty so there is something for everyone.
Famous for its low-key approach, all runners will be greeted with a warm smile and friendly chat.
The aim is to get you out running, help you enjoy the beautiful countryside with great camaraderie and for you to experience the sense of well-being you get when you cross that finish line.
You'll be shown that the North is anything but Grim.

My first Grim Up North Running event, really enjoyed it. Very friendly, well organised and marshalled, beautiful course. Chris S
First time running an its grim up north event, nice friendly atmosphere, really friendly and helpful staff, beautiful course, weather was kind as well so all in all a very enjoyable start to the weekend. Thanks!! Richard J
Well organised marathon IGUN put on great events and this was no exception. All the usual ingredients of simple but effective organisation, scenic route, great marshalls, no navigation needed, lots of cake and Godβs aid stations. And on a Friday too. Some people did 4 marathons in four days - hats off to them - I was happy with just the one. Nice touch giving recognition to one of the marshalls before the start on her birthday. Well done again to the IGUN team, especially Diane who took time out for a chat afterwards. They deserve their success. James H
Great run and well-signed route. Just dodging the dog walkers was a pain. Shaun T
The course was perfectly marked, and the entire event was flawlessly managed. Highly recommended! Alan M
Lovely event, well marked course. Excellent selection of food and treats at the finish. Nicola S
