The Pendine Sands 5K & 10K are on the beach. The Half & Full Marathon take in the full length of the beach and then return along quiet lanes.

You may think that running on the sand will be extremely difficult, but at Pendine the sands are home to the land speed record attempts made famous by the Blue Bird car. This means that generally the sand underfoot is quite firm and absolutely perfect for running on, especially for barefoot running.
