The South Shields 10 Mile Race

The race is highly regarded in the North East running calendar and a great benchmark of fitness before the Great North Run. Starting at the idyllic Souter Lighthouse National Trust site, the course heads North along the beautiful South Shields coastline and The Leas before returning. The route is fully marked & marshalled by our amazing volunteer team with fantastic support & refreshments along the way. Look out for beautiful views of Marsden Rock, Frenchman's Bay, Sandhaven Beach & even dolphins swimming by! All finishing runners will receive a South Shields 10 Mile medal for taking part. After this date medals can be ordered after the run & sent out). Awards will be provided for first 3 male & female.
