Event overview

It doesn't matter if you’re just starting your muti-sport journey or looking to smash a PB this course has something to challenge everybody.

Both bike and run are flat with a short, punchy hill on the bike, taking you into the rural suburb roads of Woodford, Wilmslow and Mottram St Andrew.

The sprint is an ideal progression opportunity or a good sharpener for the more experienced athlete.

This event is also an ideal choice for the Triathlete looking for some post-season training.  Practice transition and bike skills whilst getting some running miles in before the start of the season.

This event is part of Woodford Community Duathlon.

Arrival

Please arrive 30 - 45 minutes before your start time. This should give you ample time to familiarise yourself with the transition, warm up, discuss any queries you may have with the team and use the facilities if necessary.

Please walk/run with your bike from/to transition. DO NOT mount or dismount before these points. This has been put in place to avoid any confusion between cyclists, runners or motorists as well as providing additional space to adhere to social distancing.

Amazing course and support, everything was top-notch. Can’t wait to race again next year! Lee M

I am new to duathlons and decided to give this one a go as it was close to home. It was really good fun, even running on jelly legs for the second run. Facilities were more than sufficient and both the run and bike courses were well thought out, avoiding issues with traffic and pedestrians. I’ve already signed up for the next one and would definitely recommend it. Phil H

A great duathlon. The course was perfectly marked and the entire event was flawlessly managed. A lovely bike route too. Liz M

Great event with no real complaints. Well organised with good facilities, an okay medal and super-friendly, encouraging staff. I finished last as I’m on a fitness journey and it would be great to further encourage beginners or those building fitness. I’ll be back. Roy W

My third time taking part and I really enjoyed it again. The community centre works perfectly as a start and finish area. Both the run and bike routes are good, with minimal hold-ups. The second run is always a challenge thanks to jelly legs, but that’s part of the fun. I’d thoroughly recommend giving it a go. Phil H

Great event with nice bike and run routes, perfect for both racers and first timers alike. MP B

Well organised and well signposted. Great for beginners with no pressure, and ideal for seasoned duathletes wanting a training run-out. neil l

Enjoyable race with a great atmosphere and decent organisation. Mark M

Really enjoyed my first MCA event and already looking forward to the next one as part of my Ironman training. An unbelievably friendly and supportive atmosphere, perfect for newcomers to multisport. Michael S

Good event overall, though there were a couple of logistical hiccups that could be fine-tuned for future races. Ian L
