The trek to Everest Base Camp is one of the world’s great iconic walks. If you love walking, this has to be on your bucket list! This lodge-based trek follows faithfully in the footsteps of Edmund Hillary allowing plenty of time to acclimatise properly and enjoy the scenery.
The trek starts with the rollercoaster flight into Lukla, before following the spectacular Khumbu Valley to Everest Base Camp. A short climb to the top of Kala Pattar gives breath-taking views of the highest mountain on earth, before re-tracing steps back to Lukla.
Although this is the budget version, you get the same great guides, in fact the only things you do not get are food, private airport transfers and hotels in Kathmandu which you then arrange yourself. If you are looking for a really great trek but would like to save a little money on the extras this is a fantastic choice.
Open and private treks are available, whether you prefer to join a group, or arrange the trip for a group of your own.
Follow a winding path through the icy formations of the Khumbu Glacier.
Explore scintillating views of the highest mountains on the planet.

All of the logistics we needed were in place and all of our travel arrangements worked flawlessly. We also had the entertaining Mikme, not as our "porter", but our support staff, as he liked to be called. We were lucky with the weather and were blessed with amazing views throughout our trek. | Arup
All staff from the UK office to the Kathmandu office and the porters and guide kept us up to date and were extremely helpful. Our guide Dil was brilliant - so knowledgeable and always cheerful bringing energy and morale to the group. All staff went above and beyond and I would highly recommend to anyone considering it! | Mary
