Overview

• Traffic-free run laps around Roadford Lake on a mix of gravel paths and tarmac
• Standard distance uses two laps of a flowing 5km run circuit
• Sprint distance opens with a single 5km run on the same scenic loop
• Quiet, rolling bike route on low-traffic Devon country roads
• Single-lap bike courses for both distances, ideal for steady pacing
• Open road sections reward strong riding while remaining safe and well-marshalled
• Final run leg repeats the lakeside loop, making it easy to gauge effort

Paid parking

Plenty of parking at the site. This will be charged at £5 per car at the entrance to the site. Please car share where possible. 

Camping

Lakeside camping and campervan parking are available around one mile from transition and must be booked separately.

Absolutely fantastic event, very well run, great atmosphere, incredible location, good selection of distances to choose from and great that aquabike was included. Only suggestion would be to have finish line infront of cafe where majority of spectators were. Well done Sportiva for another fantastic event. Looking forward to September at Roadford. Paul B

Stunning venue. The lake swim was brilliant and there were an amazing number of water safety team members on kayaks, paddle boards and motor boats. Excellent registration which we collected the day before and checked out the run and bike route. Friendly staff and marshals all the way round the course. The bike was beautiful and challenging with lots of hills and well marked. The run was a brilliant mix of hilly trails and tarmac with fantastic support from spectators. Excellent finish goodies as well as plenty of snacks and water to help us celebrate our achievement. Easy parking with plenty of loos. This tri is a must and they offer a variety of distances. Sportiva Events is doing its best to minimise the environmental impact of this event. Here are a few of their initiatives:

Sustainability

• Trees not tees

  For all events which include a t-shirt, there is the option to plant a tree instead through a partnership with Treesnottees

• Avoid single-use plastics

  New paper cups have been sourced to be fully recycled back into high-grade paper.

• Optional medals

  Lots of competitors are not interested in finishers' medals so they are now optional. A £2 charity donation is made for every medal not selected.

• Swim hats on request

  Swim hats are provided for open water swimming events as they help the water safety teams keep track of swimmers. However for all pool events, swim hats are now on request to reduce wastage.

• Reuseable zip ties and recycling

  Reusable zip ties are used and all rubbish is sorted for recycling after the event.

• Reducing car use

  At the Burrator 10K running race those who commit to walking or cycling to the event get £5 discount.
