Unfortunately, no racing wheelchairs or any motorised wheelchairs are permitted however, you can take part in a rigid manual powered day chair. For your health and safety, you are advised to start at the back of the field and a support runner accompanies you around the course, also view the site and route first to assess suitability.

There is plenty of parking at the stadium area and central Milton Keynes but you may need to pay using RingGo.

5K runners may prefer to park at the stadium then lift share into the town centre.

Overview

The MK Half Marathon is a popular, fast, scenic AIMS-certified race with BARR Gold accreditation for outstanding race management. Along the course, you’ll see beautiful lakes, parks, and picturesque villages and be treated with the highest level of course support. So what are you waiting for?

The Milton Keynes Half Marathon route showcases the beauty and charm of the unique town’s original villages. Runners pass through five original villages, each boasting thatched cottages and ancient churches dating back centuries.

The leafy lanes provide a breathtaking backdrop for athletes as they push themselves to conquer the picturesque course. The route offers a blend of tree-lined city boulevards, quaint village charm, and picturesque scenery.

Running through the Open University Campus adds an extra layer to the marathon, with its sleek buildings and inviting atmosphere, making it a truly unforgettable experience for all participating. So, lace up your running shoes, take in the historic surroundings, and enjoy a truly memorable race through the heart of Milton Keynes.

Runners who participate in both the Sunday Rocket 5K and the Marathon, Half, or Relay on Bank Holiday Monday will receive a third medal – the MK Challenge Medal.

My first marathon and I loved it. That was down to just how well organised it was. Marshall support was first class, as were drink stations. Crowd support was so much better than I ever thought it would be. Quite honestly I have nothing but praise for this event and would highly recommend it to others. Absolutely love this event. I have now ran it 5 times so have earnt my legend medal yeah. The Marshalls are awesome as always as well as the crowds. It feels like a home race for me.
