This is our own favourite Dartmoor Crossing route, based on last year's Drogo Ultra.
We have taken the best bits from last year's Two Moors Way Weekend and decided to turn it in to a one day challenge or race.
You can enter the 35 mile Drogo Ultra race, which is a challenging self navigation ultra, crossing Dartmoor National Park, with minimal ascent. Even in October, good weather can not be assured and parts of the route can become boggy.
Or you can enter the Challenge Event, which is based on a points system and encourages pacing and if you do it in teams or as a solo event, a degree of team work.
There are 3UTMB points up for grabs for the Race event.
Both formats will be fully supported with bag drops points and three checkpoints, two of which will be fully stocked with food and refreshments. All participants will be fitted with trackers so our bespoke 4X4 teams can monitor your every move.
Prizes include new, bespoke medals and much more!
Registration is now open with Early Bird prices:
Drogo Ultra race - £50.00
Drogo Ultra Challenge (Team) - £35.00
Drogo Ultra Challenge (Solo) - £55.00
Dave C said, “I was lucky enough to run the Drogo Ultra. It was a great event. Well stocked food and the medics at the end were fantastic (I was the one with bloody knees).”
Helen S said, “Thank you Ceri for working so hard to make the weekend happen. I loved the whole journey and though I 'only' did the marathon; it's given me a new appreciation for the Ultra folk. Incredible!”
Nicki Spinks (running legend) on the 2018 Drogo Ultra - now The Race with No Name, “Yes I really enjoyed the Drogo Ultra. The Drogo route was really nice too until that disused tramway but it got me to the finish quicker than I expected! It worked really well with the timings and my family to finish at Ivybridge. I think the Drogo is a really good race - nice distance, nice route and starts/finishes at a sociable time!”
