Bridging the gap between marathon and longer ultras? This is the ideal opportunity to step up from marathon to the ultra trail.
With three distances (10K, half marathon and 50K ultramarathon) Run the Blades makes trail running accessible for runners of all fitness and experience levels. Bridging the gap between marathon distance and the longer ultras, the original Run the Blades affords competitors the opportunity to step up from road marathon to ultra trail running.
The 50K ultramarathon has three checkpoints at 12.5K, 25K & 37.5K. Dropbags can be left at these checkpoints.
"My first run the blades ultra and it was just superbly organised from start to finish. The route was clearly marked, the drop off facility for our wee own drink and food was great, amazing marshalls, medal outstanding, t shirt lovely.... all in all just fantastic." - Jacs McDonald
"Great event, very well organised! Will be back next year!" - Graeme McNay
"Fantastic race, well organised, medal and t-shirt are fab!" - Rosie Hunter

Tackling poverty through renewable energy.
With 1.2 billion people having no access to electricity and spending 200 million hours a day collecting water, Renewable World tackles poverty with clean energy projects across the world to improve incomes, health and education.
Of money you raise £30 could give a Kenyan fisherman the ability to refrigerate fish and seek a fair price or £50 can buy a micro irrigation kit for a Nepalese woman to grow high value crops.
This is a common concern but once you get signed up and start fundraising the team at Renewable World will have plenty of tips for reaching (and smashing!) the target. If you think you're going to struggle, the best thing to do is have a chat with them as each charity has its own approach.
Just click 'Find out more now' and fill in the enquiry form to get their contact details - if you put your question in, someone from their team will get back to you.
