The UK’s leading support and research charity for the 850,000 people living with dementia, their families and carers.
By 2021 there will be one million people in the UK with dementia. Dementia can happen to anyone and there's currently no cure. We are working towards a better world for all those affected by the many forms of dementia and our practical support and information reaches over 30,000 people per week.
We fund research into the cause, cure, care and prevention of dementia as well as campaigning for better quality of life for people with dementia and a greater understanding of dementia.

Together we can find and fund the bold ideas that will one day cure cancer.
We are a charity which funds research into any type of cancer anywhere in the world.
We fund projects in the world’s best research institutions. We fund some of the world’s most diverse and unexpected projects. We fund world-renowned specialists and up and coming talent. We do all those things for one very good reason - to gain a global perspective. Because research doesn’t happen in isolation. The answers will not come from one scientist, in one lab, in one country.
This worldwide research will enhance our understanding of cancer and help us find and develop better, more effective treatments. Treatments personalised to your unique needs. Treatments you, your family or your family’s family may rely on in the future.
To realise our vision of no life cut short by cancer the research can never stop. Join our team today to keep it going.

Help us be there for young people who need us.
Around seven young people aged between 13 and 24 are diagnosed with cancer every day in the UK. We’re the only charity dedicated to providing expert care and support from the moment they hear the word cancer. We treat them as young people first, cancer patients second and everything we do aims to improve their quality of life and chances of survival.

Funding medical research projects to secure a future without prostate cancer.
The mission of PCRC is to develop new therapy for men with advanced prostate cancer. The immediate goal is to increase survival and our vision is a cure for the disease.
The Prostate Cancer Research Centre is the only charity solely focused on funding world class scientists developing new treatments for advanced prostate cancer.
Prostate cancer is the most frequently diagnosed cancer in men. Over 11,000 men die every year in the UK and the number increases every year.
Advanced prostate cancer is treated with hormone therapy, developed in the 1940s. Hormone therapy is still the primary and most effective treatment for advanced prostate cancer. Consequently, survival rates have improved little over the last 70 years. New and more effective therapy is urgently needed.
We are dedicated to improving the survival of the next generation of men and better treatment can only come through research.

We are the cancer prevention experts
World Cancer Research Fund (WCRF UK) is committed to cancer prevention through a healthy diet, nutrition and weight management. We provide people with the information they need to reduce their cancer risk and we were the first charity to link diet and cancer. Over the last 25 years we have made huge steps forward with our cancer prevention research, linking lifestyle factors to cancer risk. We are mostly funded by donations from the general public.
