The Yorkshire 10 Mile is a fantastic event for runners of all abilities. If you're looking for a new PB, the course is flat and fast. If you're new to this distance, where better place to start than in God's Own Country?
Founded by the ancient Romans, York boasts a huge 13th-century Gothic cathedral and has more miles of intact wall than any other city in England.
York also offers international hotel chains as well as designer boutique hotels and independent hostels. There's something for every budget.
The autumnal race begins at 10:15am - make sure you take in the seasonal colours as you run, and enjoy the cool post-summer breeze helping you round the course.
Runners complete the Yorkshire 10 Mile for many different reasons. Challenge for a PB, tackle your first event of this distance or run to support a charity close to your heart.
