When crossing the finish line, participants will be rewarded with wooden medals which have been sourced sustainably and can be recycled afterwards. There are no plastic bottles on site and people are encouraged to bring refillable water bottles and to use the water bowsers on site.
To prevent unnecessary waste, event information will not be printed and will all be sent to participants electronically instead. Virtual goody bags instead of physical ones will be handed out at the end of the race.
