Scenic off-road challenge ride along the South Downs Way over 1 or 2 days for riders of all abilities alongside other Rett UK supporters helping children with profound disabilities.
One of the only off-road cycle challenges in the UK! Follows bridleways along the ancient chalk ridge of the South Downs, with breath-taking views over the Weald to the north and the English Channel to the south.
Day 1: Winchester (Hampshire) to Truleigh Hill (Shoreham, West Sussex) 63 miles
Day 2: Truleigh Hill (Shoreham, West Sussex) to Eastbourne (East Sussex) 35 miles
Both days: Do the whole route with an overnight stop at Shoreham
Route highlights include: Iron age hill forts of Old Winchester Hill, Chanctonbury Ring and Devils Dyke, Beacon Hill nature reserve, the Cathedral city of Winchester and Seven Sisters country park near Eastbourne.
This is a much easier ride than the brutal one-day challenge so you can ride at your own pace – although you will need to train beforehand to make sure you enjoy it!
