A selection of walks bringing everyone together to breathe fresh mountain air, witness incredible scenery & step out of your comfort zone to support prostate cancer research.
Prostate Cancer Research Centre is organising something special.
A selection of walking challenges open to different levels of ability and bringing everyone together to breathe fresh mountain air, witness incredible scenery and experience a great sense of accomplishment from stepping out of your comfort zone and supporting prostate cancer research.
Long distance (22km): Walk the mileage instead of the mountain on this scenic flatter route through North Snowdonia whilst soaking up the sights of the valleys, woods and quaint Welsh villages.
Snowdon Climb (12km): Take on the legendary mountain which stands as the tallest in England and Wales at 1,085m with incredible views of the surrounding lakes and hills from the summit.
Multi Peak Climb (20km): Feeling brave? This route takes you over four peaks in the Snowdon Massif, with great sights over North Snowdonia, before reaching the famous Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) itself.
Snowdonia for Science is a revitalisation of the well-known and established Snowdon 500 and Welsh 3 Peaks challenges. These were created by the charity's patron, Matt Rannamets, as a response to his diagnosis of advanced prostate cancer.
On the Saturday evening in the Royal Victoria Hotel, everyone gets together with other participants and charity staff to refuel and relax.
Keep fit and focused by committing to one of these challenge walks next spring.

Funding medical research projects to secure a future without prostate cancer.
Last year 56,000 men were diagnosed with prostate cancer in the UK. They are someone's grandfather, father, brother, or son.
Whilst prostate cancer is treatable in the prostate, once it spreads to other parts of the body, it becomes incurable and life-limiting. Our aim is simple: to fund the ground-breaking research into developing patient first treatments, which provide hope and a future for men and their families.
Thanks to our fundraisers, we have recently increased the number of medical research projects we fund by 175%. It is our hope that this will lead to further breakthroughs and the development of future therapies for men with prostate cancer.
