Discover hidden pockets of Snowdonia as you cycle around the base of Snowdon, hike to the summit of Wales' highest peak and kayak along the waters of a stunning glacial formed lake - all in just one action filled day!
It’s a perfect weekend away in the heart of one of the UK’s finest adventure playgrounds. You don’t have to be a pro at cycling or kayaking, just have an adventurous spirit which will see you conquer this 24.5 mile route in the epic Snowdonia wilderness.
"The Snowdon Challenge was an unforgettable experience! Everybody absolutely loved it and is still on a high, we have the feeling we can take on the world. Thank you so much for all you have done, your guidance and support were outstanding." Susan Hall
"Thank you for a great experience, we are all extremely proud of ourselves and couldn’t have done it without you! We have smashed our target and we are looking to do more charity events towards the end of the year to continue with our success." Gemma Dakin
In the early evening, you'll arrive in Llanberis in the heart Snowdonia where you will receiving a full event briefing and the chance to meet your team of leaders and support crew. Pick up from Bangor train station is available on request.
Your challenge starts on two wheels, as you cycle 17km along quiet and undulating country roads following the shores of Llyn Padarn and passing through the slate quarries of Snowdonia National Park.
At Llyn Cwellyn, we swap our bikes for boots and begin the 7km ascent of Snowdon via the Snowdon Ranger Path which is thought to be the easiest of the six main routes to the summit.
Once on the summit of Snowdon, we can hopefully enjoy the stunning views. On a clear day you can see four kingdoms, 24 counties, 29 lakes and 17 islands! We then descend 8km via the Llanberis path which is the longest but most gradual path on the mountain.
We arrive back in Llanberis for the final leg of the challenge as we canoe 4km along Llyn Padarn finishing at the lagoons, where you will be greeted at the finish line with a well deserved celebratory glass of bubbly.
