Rousay Lap

The Rousay Lap has become one of the most popular fixtures on the Orkney athletic calendar. An event with a real family feel, participants run, cycle or walk from the pier around the island, taking in some spectacular scenery as they go. The event is organised by the Rousay, Egilsay & Wyre Development Trust and is open to all ages, although under 16s must have their entry form signed by a parent or guardian, and under 12s must be accompanied by an adult. All finishers will be issued with a certificate and a Rousay Lap Half Marathon medal at the finish line. The event is free but donations are welcomed and the surplus distributed to voluntary organisations on the islands.
