A fundraising event that you organise yourself. A great opportunity to bring people together, go for a walk & talk about mental health, while raising funds for Mental Health UK.
Get walking and talking for mental health.
If you want to fundraise for mental health, start with 'Step by Step' - a fundraising event that you will be able to organise yourself.
This challenge is for everyone seeking a personal goal regardless of age, fitness level or pace which can fit into your current schedule.
You can organise your walk anywhere in the world at a time that suits you.
Talking about our own experiences of mental health is incredibly important, but it can be difficult to get started. It’s much easier to start a conversation about mental health when walking next to someone rather than sat face to face. Being outdoors and light exercise are also great for our wellbeing.
"Do something to support the mental health cause"
"I decided to participate as the rate in young people taking their own lives has risen in England and Wales by over 60% in the last 8 years. I had a young family friend who passed away so wanted to make sure I could do something to support the mental health cause and raise awareness. It is so important that charities can continue their life saving and crucial work."
Mental Health UK will support you in your journey setting up your Step By Step event, and will send you materials and guides that will help you get your walk up and running and make sure you smash your fundraising target.
