Route
You'll be guided all the way by local expert guides so there's no need to navigate and no getting lost on the moors.

- The route begins with a good leg-loosener as you set out along a fairly easy gradient with the distinctive anvil shape of Ingleborough, the first peak.

- Snaking your way upwards to reach the summit, which offers panoramic views across the Dales and on to Morecambe Bay and the Lakes.
- With peak one complete you’ll begin your second ascent to Yorkshire’s Everest – Whernside. This hulk of a climb again provides lovely views.

- As you descend the reasonably easy slope you’ll be able to see across to the Ribblehead Viaduct, perhaps marvelling at the skills of the engineers and the sheer grit of the 2,000+ workers that built the structure back in the 1800s.

- In fact, the viaduct is a halfway milestone before you begin towards the final peak of Pen-y-Ghent.

- After the summit, there is just a short but steep descent and a final wander across some fields back to Horton-in-Ribblesdale.

- Finishing your challenge as a Yorkshire Three Peaks champion, and receiving a special medal to celebrate your achievement!
- The town of Settle is very nearby and offers a wide range of cafes, bars, restaurants and accommodation options.
