Learn to navigate with a map, mainly following rights of way. Get to grips with scales, map symbols; grid references and contours; orientating map using features; relating the map to the ground. The morning will take place indoors learning basic navigation principles. The afternoon will take place on nearby valley paths navigating using the map only.
