An unforgettable 100-mile route on completely closed roads for 15,000 riders through the Midlands countryside.
Whether you're a seasoned sportive rider, a newbie cyclist on a mission to complete a century ride, or an enthusiastic charity fundraiser in search of a truly epic challenge, Vélo Birmingham will deliver an unforgettable cycling experience for each and every participant.
Starting in the heart of Birmingham city centre, the route will wind its way into the picturesque counties of Worcestershire and Herefordshire through rolling countryside, lush green woodlands and quaint towns and villages lined with cheering spectators.
With around 2,000 metres of climbing it is a relatively undulating route however you don’t need to worry about encountering any Alpine-like climbs! For those of you who want to channel your inner Chris Froome and really test the legs, we suggest you save some energy for the King & Queen of the Mountains challenge that you’ll encounter 85 miles into the route (there’s no shame in walking this bit!)
If you are worrying you won’t be able to complete the event in time – don’t. The lengthy road closures we have secured means that all riders will have plenty of time to complete the full 100 mile route and we’ll support you every step of the way.

Every childhood is worth fighting for.
The NSPCC specialises in child protection by changing UK laws, seeking to protect children at risk of abuse or supporting children that have been abused to rebuild their lives.
Around 90% of their income comes from public donations where just £3 could pay for their Speak out. Stay Safe programme to reach a child in primary school or £40 could pay to answer 10 Childline calls from children in need of help.
This is a common concern but once you get signed up and start fundraising the team at NSPCC will have plenty of tips for reaching (and smashing!) the target. If you think you're going to struggle, the best thing to do is have a chat with them as each charity has its own approach.
Just click 'Find out more now' and fill in the enquiry form to get their contact details - if you put your question in, someone from their team will get back to you.

The UK’s leading support and research charity for the 850,000 people living with dementia, their families and carers.
In the UK there are currently around 850,000 people living with dementia and this is expected to increase to over one million by 2025. With no current cure for the causes of dementia, the Alzheimer's Society is committed to campaigning for change, finding a cure and supporting those people living with dementia now.
Your fundraising can help them continue this vital work.
