Suitable for teams Suitable for under 18's
Conquer Yorkshire's three tallest peaks in 2016 and help Marie Curie to continue providing care to people with terminal illnesses.
This is an extremely challenging 26-mile walk over the three highest peaks in Yorkshire: Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough. These peaks are all about 700 metres high, and the walk takes 10 to 12 hours to complete.
Starting in the village of Horton-in-Ribblesdale you will tackle the first – and steepest – climb up to the top of Pen-y-Ghent. One down, two to go! There's then a gradual descent over which you cover about eight miles. After passing by the spectacular Ribblehead Viaduct you climb up and along flat-topped Whernside, before a steep descent. It’s then time to tackle the final hill: Ingleborough, before a gradual grassy descent back into Horton-in-Ribblesdale to collect that well-deserved medal.
A team of experienced mountain guides will be with you every step of the way, however, a good level of fitness with prior training is required to take part in this challenge. After completing the challenge grab your medal, refuel and celebrate with the Marie Curie team.
