Get set for a long-weekend challenge to the top of the highest mountain in the Atlas Mountain range! Beginning and ending in Marrakech, we’ll head deep into the Atlas Mountains for three days of trekking bliss.
Our main goal is to summit the prestigious peak of Mount Toubkal, which stands at a massive 4167 metres above sea level. To get there we’ll venture through the foothills where we'll experience the traditional lives of the Berber people.

Day 1: Travel
Day 2: Trek from Imlil to the Toubkal refuge
An exhilarating drive over dramatic gorges and high passes of the upper valleys and the Berber town of Imlil - Morocco's 'Little Chamonix'. Following a glass of mint tea, the trek takes us up and down stark slopes with magnificent views over the Western High Atlas and the mighty Toubkal Massif.
Day 3: Summit Mount Toubkal
This morning's steep climb will see us reach the summit for truly stunning panoramas, taking time to soak it up before descending to the refuge and picnic spot. A gentle hike follows this afternoon and we can look down upon the trail we've followed and also the distant cobalt green Lake Ifni.
Day 4: Trek to Imlil then transfer to Marrakech
Heading north, we descend steep, zigzagging trails towards the Berber village Sidi Chamharouch then discover a sacred tree where the Berbers hang strips of coloured cloths and pile stones up. Trekking through grey granite and basalt rock landscapes, we reach the valley floor and return to Imlil to a welcome glass of mint tea.
