Overview

As well as walking along the top of the Giants Causeway itself with stunning views of the iconic rock formations below, you will pass a Game of Thrones set location (Renly Baratheon's Camp), Ballintoy Harbour (also used as a backdrop in Game of Thrones), Elephant Rock and Dunseverick Castle, which was built in around 500AD! The 20km walk is a proper challenge, taking up to eight hours to complete.

Whether this is the first time you've attended a trekking event or you're a veteran, come for a great day out and help make a real difference to autistic people and their families.

A team of experienced mountain guides will be with you every step of the way, giving you advice and making sure you stay safe for the entirety of the walk.

On the day

  • Meet the group at the Beach Road car park, Portballintrae
  • Be transported to the starting point at Larrybane Quarry/Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge car park
  • Over the course of the day you'll walk west along the Causeway Coast Way
  • Mountain Leaders will be with you every step of the way for maximum safety
  • Finish the trek back at Beach Road car park, Portballintrae
  • Receive your well-deserved medal and certificate at the finish-line

Fitness level

A base level of fitness with prior training is required to take part in this challenge and training tips will also be provided.
