Enjoy a tour of London’s famous landmarks on closed roads before testing your pedal power on Surrey’s leg-burning climbs made famous by the world’s greatest cyclists in the 2012 Olympic road race.
After enjoying the spectacular Surrey countryside, return to the capital in style alongside 30,000 fellow cyclists down The Mall, before finishing in front of Buckingham Palace.
Riders will set off in waves from 06:00, Sun 16 Aug 2020. If you've secured a place, you'll be notified of your start time in early July 2020 via email.
The 100-mile route starts and finishes right in the heart of London. Taking place on completely closed roads, you’ll explore London before venturing out into the Surrey Hills, where you’ll take on over 1,700m of climbing. Feed stations, as well as medical and mechanical aid, line the route.
For your first 100-mile sportive, this event has everything, from the fast closed-roads of Central London to the testing climbs out in the Surrey Hills.
If you're looking to pit yourself against the fastest amateur cyclists in the country, RideLondon 100 is the place to do it - how fast can you complete the course?
Riders can track their times and position throughout the event by downloading the new RideLondon app free of charge. Family and friends can use the GPS tracking system to support the riders on the route and meet with them afterwards.
The Cycling Show takes place at ExCeL London, and will be FREE to enter. Expect personal appearances from top professional riders, interviews with special guests and presentations in coaching and nutrition.
A wide range of bike-based entertainment will be taking place at seven Festival Zones scattered around the iconic London locations of Green Park, Lincoln's Inn Fields, Southbank, Aldwych, St Paul's Churchyard, Guildhall and Leadenhall Market.
"I completely underestimated how lovely closed roads are; I don't think I even touched the brakes for the first 15 miles. And the support from the public was terrific.. people banging the boards while you sprint down The Mall was spine-tingling. I recommend it."
"One of the highlights was being cheered on by the police as I was going through many a red light!"
"The most amazing cycling event I've ever taken part in. The closed roads and the crowds made it a day I'll never, ever forget."
There are two ways of entering; via the ballot or with a charity place.
Enter the ballot
Ballot entries are now open until Friday 3 January 2020 or until 80,000 applications have been received, whichever comes sooner. If you are successful, entry will cost £79. You can still apply for a charity place even if you've entered the ballot, this will ensure your entry is secured no matter what the ballot results.
Ride for charity
You’re not going to be part of a bigger peloton as you join 30,000 amateur cyclists in the world’s greatest charity fundraising event on two wheels. With more than £66 million raised since 2013, you too can help raise money for a good cause by securing your charity place today and beating the ballot.
